Benjamin R. Rand was born in South Boston, Virginia, and earned his B.A. in English from Virginia Military Institute and his Juris Doctor from the Charleston School of Law. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Rand worked as an Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney in both Southampton and Mecklenburg County. His emphasis is on civil and criminal litigation, and he regularly appears before the General District Courts, Juvenile and Domestic Relations Courts, and Circuit Courts throughout the greater Richmond area and Southside Virginia. Mr. Rand handles real estate matters, personal injury, divorce, custody, visitation, and support cases, in addition to misdemeanor and felony cases, DUI, reckless driving, and other serious traffic offenses.
