JAMES W. CURRY is a partner with the firm and maintains a general practice
with an emphasis in civil and criminal litigation. He regularly defends persons charged with serious felony offenses, misdemeanor offenses, DUI, reckless driving, and other serious traffic offenses. Other areas of practice emphasis include personal injury, domestic relations, contract law, creditors rights/judgment collection, and estate planning including wills, powers of attorney and advanced medical directives. He regularly appears before the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Courts, General District Courts and the Circuit Courts in Richmond, Henrico, Hanover, Chesterfield, and Goochland. He is admitted to practice law in the Court of Appeals of Virginia, the Supreme Court of Virginia, and the United States Court of Appeals, Fourth Circuit. He earned is B.A. in History from Hampden Sydney College and his Juris Doctorate from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University.
